Dazzling Dollie

We will have a total of 15 titles so that there will be one title per shot. The titles will be typed onto the screen so that they will be easier to read as opposed to embedding them into the film and having the viewers hunt them down. We don't want the main focus to be on the titles and not the film itself, which is why we've decided on black as our font color. The font we chose is 'Rock Salt'.  It has an eerie look to it and almost appears to be a child's handwriting. The letters will appear individually so to add to our fear intensity and to make it look like it was written by our ghost child. Each title will enter the screen for two seconds, stay for three, and then disappear with a wipe effect so that it looks like it's being erased. Our working title is currently 'Dollie'. It is open to change. To emphasize who did what job, the name of the person will be around three sizes larger than the title. For example, Costumes By: Eden Wright. The studio and production titles will have their own blank screens. The other titles will appear through the scene with the first actor's name appearing in the establishing shot outside of the house. We don't need to worry about fonts blending too much into our background because the black is a nice contrast to the white-toned setting. The font automatically turns everything written into uppercase letters, so this also helps with the contrast.

Health and Safety

We will have a first aid kit nearby in case anything should happen. In addition, we will have a person on standby who is not involved in acting or filming in charge of the safety kit to act efficiently at their job. So if something is to go wrong, they will be focused and able to take the best course of action.

For shot #1, all participants will watch for cars. We will be standing around the filmer to ensure we can see no cars coming near from all sides. For shot #13, we decided to drop plastic wear instead of glass to ensure there would be no injury from broken glass.

We will wear masks when we are not acting and follow all Covid-19 safety protocols.

Backup Plan

We have a backup plan in place for filming days and editing days. We implemented these in case of poor weather on filming days or an obligation that we cannot film or edit. We know we all have busy and changing schedules, so it's essential to plan for these situations well in advance.

We also have a backup for our actor Marloh Acosta. She is a nine-year-old girl who will be portraying the antagonist of our opening sequence. We hope she will cooperate with us, but we also know that little girls can be fussy. So, Randy Dyer, another little girl, is a backup just in case. We don't think it will come to that. However, we planned so we won't have to worry about that the day of filming.
