New Year, New Me!
Happy New Year! I'm back and still as fabulous as ever. Can you believe we've already made it through a whole month of the new year? Nothing's changed really. I'm still Britanique Simpson. My favorite color is still purple, I'm still interested in pursuing a career in medicine and I'm still as excited as when I first started this class six months ago about literally everything media related. Last semester, I learned a lot about media. From learning about tracking shots to filming my own InkJoy pen commercial. Don't even get me started on the music video. It took forever to get the song out of my head. It was a fun year and I'm super excited to learn more. This semester is extremely important. I am now learning about things such as synergy and cross media promotion. I ordered pizza on Friday and got really excited about "The Batman" promotion that was on the cover of the box. I like connecting real life items to things I learned in class. It helps me to better remember the term and shows that I'm actually learning. My final project is to create a two minute opening scene to a movie. I've been looking forward to this all year! I can't wait to see how much my filming and editing skills have grown since I first started this class. I've already been brainstorming ideas and I'm thinking of thriller or horror as the genre. I've reached the half way mark and I want to go out with a bang!
