Group Blog

I chose to be in a group with Ashleigh Miller and Eden
Wright. I met Ashleigh at orientation freshman year. We were paired together in
a team-building group activity and we’ve been friends since. I met Eden in a
Spanish class. We had to introduce ourselves to someone we didn’t know in Spanish,
and she seemed like the nicest option out of everyone closest to me. My
assumption was right because Eden turned out to be one of the sweetest human
beings I know. We’ve all worked together in a group before, and we did amazing.
We divided the work into three sections, and we each claimed one. This method
resulted in a very well-done project turned in on time. Since everyone focused
on a section and not the overall project, each section was very detailed, and
the project was less overwhelming. Working with these girls has shown me that
they care about their work, and they will put in their best effort. Ashleigh is
good at writing scripts due to her experience writing them in student
government. She\"s also good at editing videos so she could oversee that as
well. Eden is an artistic talent so she could be in charge of the storyboard
and possibly be the main actor. I could write the treatment and film the
videos. By assigning ourselves these roles, we reduce the workload, and the
project becomes easier. That way we won’t have to stress over having too much
work from this class in addition to all our other classes. By knowing exactly
what it is that we must do, filming will also be easier because everything else
would already be done by then. We are the perfect groupmates because we know our
skills and how to harmonize them. We also know how to make group work fun while
still staying on task.

It’s two days later and we now have a new member. Her name is Isabel D’Onofrio. I actually first met her at orientation as well. Funny how the world works.
