This year, I decided it was a good idea to continue working with a group. The workload can become a lot, so it's nice to have people you can depend on to create the best results. Working with a group is also genuinely more exciting. Everyone gets a specific role, making it easier to perfect the film if everyone is good at a particular section.
Last year I had the best group in the world. Sure we had our ups and downs, but I'd rate the entire experience a ten out of ten. Eden was a senior, so she graduated, but I still have Ashleigh. I've known Ash since freshman year, which was four years ago. We're seniors now, and we're practically inseparable. She's become incredibly good at editing, so I know she'll want to be the main editor of the film. She's also quite good at splicing audio, whatever that means. I'm mostly the filmer, but I also help with editing wherever I can.
The third member of our group this year is Sienna Zimmerman. I don't know her very well, but I met her through Ash. She's a junior, so she's a year younger than us, but from what I've seen in class, she stays on task. Last year she was the actress in her project, so she can do that this year too. The only thing I'm worried about is her schedule. She usually has dance practice after school, and she also works. The only day that she's always available are Sundays, but Sundays won't work for Ash or me. Last year scheduling was a big problem with Eden, and as a result, our music video turned out a bit messy. I'm worried that we'll also struggle with filming this year. Still, I'm going to give her a chance, and hopefully, her schedule won't be as busy when we start filming at the end of October or the start of November. I'm super excited to see what we can create this year! We've already started brainstorming. Since we did horror last time, Ash wants to do something lighter this year, like a coming-of-age story. I'd prefer we do action, but I'm sure we'll agree on something.
